WHAT WE OFFER

English programmes for staff

Each programme starts with a level check for every participant and is built around the English their role demands, whether that is a new starter relocating to London or a senior manager presenting to clients.

Business English for teams

Meetings, email, reports, presentations and negotiation, taught one-to-one or to small groups of colleagues at a similar CEFR level.

Relocation and onboarding

English support for staff moving into UK or English-speaking roles, with a level check on arrival and targets tied to the new role. Partners and family members can join too.

Level checks and progress reports

Every participant is placed on the CEFR scale at the start, and the organisation receives progress reports so HR and line managers can see how each person is moving.

Online or in central London

Sessions are scheduled around working hours and time zones online, or held in person in central London, and are invoiced directly to the organisation.

OUR APPROACH

How We Work

Programmes are set up in four steps, from an initial conversation about the roles involved to regular reports on each participant's progress.

01

Understanding the roles

We start with the roles involved, the English each one demands and any deadline set by a relocation, a promotion or a registration body.

02

Level check and tutor matching

Each participant is placed on the CEFR scale, and we match tutors with experience of teaching English to adults at that level and in that kind of work.

03

Designing the programme

We agree the format (one-to-one or small groups of colleagues at a similar level), the number and timing of sessions, and the work tasks each person will practise.

04

Delivery and reporting

Sessions run online or in central London, the organisation receives progress reports and a single point of contact, and invoices go directly to the employer.

Questions from HR and L&D teams

How do you assess each employee's English level before training starts?

Every participant has a level check before the programme is designed, which places them on the CEFR scale from A1 to C2 and identifies which skills need the most work. The results set the format, whether one-to-one or a small group of colleagues at a similar level, and the targets agreed with the organisation.

Can staff at different English levels be trained together?

Small groups work when participants are at a similar CEFR level and need English for similar tasks. Where levels are far apart, we recommend one-to-one sessions or separate groups, because mixing a B1 learner with a C1 colleague tends to slow one and lose the other. The level check at the start makes this decision straightforward.

How is progress reported to the employer?

The organisation receives progress reports on each participant and has a single point of contact at Taylor Tuition. Reports describe attendance, the tasks practised and the change in each person's skills, so HR and line managers can see how the programme is going without sitting in on sessions.

How does invoicing work for organisations?

Programmes for staff are invoiced directly to the employer. Fees start from £50 per 50-minute session and depend on tutor level, there is no registration fee, and the initial consultation to scope the programme is free.

Can sessions fit around working hours and different time zones?

Sessions run online and are scheduled around each participant's working hours and time zone, or held in person in central London. Programmes for relocated staff can start before the move online and continue in person after arrival in London.
